Such a cute spot to sit down outside and enjoy the beach vibes. Food was really good, get the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer!!! Our server Cameron was super nice and greatly explained to us the specials. 10/10!!!

It took two trips to get the Octopus which tasted good. Wish the there was an option to get a whole grilled octopus. Out of 3 trips I had the Oysters (wouldn't do again) too much of a pain when they aren't cut free if the shell. Calamari (tasted good), Alligator (good),seared tuna (Awesome), and the pan seared scallops (awesome) The servers were all awesome.

Our waiter, Joey K, was awesome. Restaurant is clean and food came out relatively fast. Food was mixed. Some dishes were great, some were flavorless. Oysters: they cannot be steamed. We had raw and I was disappointed with the size despite ordering the larger size. Saving grace was house made sauce. The Japanese sauce was unique and delicious. 3/5 Gator Tail: 5/5 Calamari: 3/5 Mostly batter Fish sandwich: 2/5 Per the servers recommendation I upgraded for $3 to the daily catch, snapper and had it blackened. It was flavorless. Had the bowl of corn as a side and it was 4/5. Crab cakes: 5/5 The salad was great, and the crab cakes were the best entree out of them all. Overall 4/5. Prices are reasonable, slightly overpriced for the quality of the food, but some items are worth it.

We had an incredible experience from start to finish! Joey was an outstanding server—his infectious energy and attentiveness made our evening truly memorable. Even with our large party of nine, he made sure everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. The service was impressively quick, our orders were spot-on, and every dish was delicious—especially the crab cakes dinner, which was a standout favorite! It was also refreshing to see one of the owners, Daniel, personally engaging with guests throughout the night. That kind of hands-on hospitality speaks volumes. We’ll absolutely be back again soon. Highly recommend!

We found Sizemore’s Coastal Kitchen on Google, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is bright, clean, and open, with a relaxing coastal atmosphere. The seafood is fresh, flavorful, and prepared in an authentic local style. Most impressively, the manager Will is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional. He made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. A wonderful dining experience we will definitely come back! Linda Huong

Went to Sizemore’s on a whim while on a business trip and so happy I did! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great! Our waiter/bartender was very attentive and friendly. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were very yummy. I really liked the women’s restroom setup with a real changing table for babies and the family stall with a sink. They are reasonably priced too. I would love to come back in the summer when the dining room can be opened to the outside. Bravo to opening a wonderful seaside gem of a restaurant.

We went to Sizemore’s right before the Air Show and were amazingly able to be seated right away on the patio! It’s a beautiful restaurant! The food was really good and the drinks (which I forgot to take a picture of since I was too excited) are awesome!! My husband got the Bloody Mary and I got the Coastal Breeze. We loved them both! We definitely recommend this restaurant! Sit on the patio if there’s a nice breeze.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Jacksonville Beach, Sizemore’s Coastal Kitchen offers a refreshing taste of coastal charm paired with genuine Southern hospitality. This bright, open, and clean restaurant captures the essence of local seafood traditions through dishes that are both authentic and thoughtfully prepared. From the moment you step onto 333 1st St N, the inviting beach vibes set the tone for a memorable dining experience.

One of the standout elements here is the attentive and personable service. Servers like Cameron and Joey bring passion and knowledge to the table, skillfully guiding guests through the menu and daily specials. The hands-on involvement of owners and managers, such as Daniel and Will, adds a unique, warm touch that's all too rare these days, creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming and genuine.

Food highlights at Sizemore’s shine brightly, especially if you’re drawn to fresh seafood with coastal flair. The fried green tomatoes appetizer earns rave reviews for its crispness and flavor, a perfect start that nods to Southern roots. For entrees, the pan-seared scallops and seared tuna stand out as exquisitely cooked, delivering well-balanced flavors that dance on the palate. The crab cakes receive near-universal praise, celebrated as a rich, satisfying centerpiece that elevates the meal.

While some dishes like the fish sandwich and oysters received mixed feedback, the house-made sauces, especially the unique Japanese-inspired sauce, provide creative flavor twists that elevate those offerings. The gator tail and calamari also often please with their texture and seasoning, making them worthy selections for adventurous eaters looking to explore coastal specialties beyond the typical fare.

Prices lean slightly higher for certain dishes, yet many guests find the quality and atmosphere justify the expense. The relatively quick service ensures you spend more time enjoying your meal and the casual coastal ambiance rather than waiting.

In sum, Sizemore’s Coastal Kitchen delivers a vibrant coastal dining experience grounded in fresh seafood, warm hospitality, and thoughtful touches that invite you back again. Whether you’re savoring fried green tomatoes while soaking in the beach vibes or indulging in expertly prepared scallops, this spot crafts a delicious and inviting escape by the Atlantic shore.
